The ROI of Social

This post is bound to be short, because it’s based on my limited interaction with “social” (IG/FB/YT/etc.). And if you don’t know what those acronyms stand for then…  LOL! Wait. ROTF… LMAO!! SMH. WTH?! Like, omg!!! OK, now that we’re past that, my return on investment on social has largely sucked. By and large, for my music site, it’s been good but otherwise, I couldn’t recommend.

Snap was supposed to be the thing until IG copied everything from them. FB Live Videos were supposed to be a thing, and they still are … and they’re growing. Beme? Well, that never took off. So, here we are in 2018 with IG Stories and FB Live Videos … they are promising (drum rolls, please) IF that’s how you communicate naturally. That is, some people are quite natural in front of the camera. I am not. In fact, I’m way better at analyzing my data behind the drapes and then taking that to my advantage to grow my traffic. If you’re not great on screen, try the data approach. Going that route, my ROI has been way more full of #awesomesauce. Your mileage may vary.
