“What? Your site is still running on PH-barf-P?” This is how I imagine hardcore devs might think of me still using WordPress 10 years later. I mean, WordPress/PHP is not sexy. It’s the equivalent to a Volvo stationwagon, if you had to compare it to a car. It’s solid and reliable. But no, there’s no HAML, no Markdown, no fancy javascript library… it’s superfreakin’ plain. And that’s all it needs to be, because it’ll get me from point A to B way faster, since I can devote more of my energy to the content — and that’s key to growing almost anything online.
