My How-to WordPress Book
Three months before my first baby was due, I decided to write a book for Packt Publishing entitled Social Media for WordPress: Build Communities, Engage Members and Promote Your Site. It tells you how to apply the social layer on top of your WordPress installation through Yahoo! Pipes, MailChimp, Gravity Forms, BuddyPress, bbPress and much more.

Design Work
Web design started out as a hobby for me in high school. Over the years, I’ve honed my html and css skills, so now I create my own templates. However, I also believe that you shouldn’t have to redesign the wheel for every project, so I a big part of my job consists of tweaking existing works.

WordPress Development
I started playing around with WordPress when version 2.3 was released. Drupal was one of the top contenders but I was instantly sold on the 5-minute WP-install and have remained a fanboy ever since. It comes to no surprise that I’ve created a few (now old) BuddyPress themes, which still lurk on the WordPress repository.
